[HTWK WShop] - LuminosiTRAP

Type Workshop Project
Location Surface Light Sources
Size 700 x 300 mm
Stage Completed
Date 9th Semester

Text The main logic of the light trapping system is a polydirectional relationship between component volume for illumination and perforation openings for transparencies and light penetration. Due to parametric relationships between depth, openings and geometry the intricate system creates various generations based all on the same logics of volume, perforation and tectonic relationships. See all workshop results here online.

Thanks to Romy I'm grateful for your help.

1st Parametric Design Workshop - HTWK Leipzig

Type Workshop & Exhibition
Location Leipzig | Germany
Date 26.-29. June 2009

Text During an intense 3 day workshop students will investigate into parametrically developed light & shadow structures. The international team from Bucharest, Barcelona and Leipzig will introduce and accompany the individual projects from design to 1:1 fabrication stage.

Open to all students with basic Grasshopper knowledge. Confirm via email.

[RBD WShop] - PROcurtain

Type Workshop & Design Symposium
Location Berlin | Germany
Date May 2009

Text After five days of intense RBD workshop session we came up with several studies regarding developable surface structures developed with parametric design tools i.e. Grasshopper for Rhino. Our proposal regards a programmable curtain reacting on site constrains of the lobby area of the architectural faculty TU Berlin. Consisting of a system of continious differentiating ribbons it seperates and creates space by filtering views through an emerging field of transparancy gradients.

Thanks to project collaborator Astrid Smitham. You can find the detailed RBD workshop blog here and the PROcurtain project here.
